Steven Davison

Steven is a senior transformation leader with over 25 years’ experience delivering strategic, operational, and technology-led change across infrastructure, energy, transport, health, and sports sectors. He specialises in unlocking value in complex environments that demand decisive leadership and digital innovation.

Before joining Incremental Pathway, Steven held senior roles including Chief Operating Officer at Sunderland AFC, where he delivered 20% year-on-year revenue growth, and Director of Operations at Atkins, a £2.5bn global engineering consultancy. There, he led enterprise-wide digital initiatives, post-acquisition integrations, and sustainability programmes. He currently serves as a non-executive director at South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust, supporting governance and digital strategy in healthcare.

His career has spanned turnarounds, mergers, and digital transformation across North America, Asia, and Europe—frequently in highly regulated sectors. He led post-acquisition programmes delivering over £100m in cost synergies and pioneered process automation that cut design costs by 80%.

Steven holds a BSc in Mathematics from Durham University and has contributed to multiple public and private sector boards. A natural problem solver, he brings a calm, pragmatic mindset to high-pressure environments. He’s energised by working with ambitious teams to unlock lasting value, and believes honest conversations, curiosity, and clarity of purpose are the foundations of meaningful change.
