Redesign the function around the outcome. Use what you have learned from real workflows to rethink how the function creates value. Explore different combinations of roles, decisions and capacity, then turn the most useful choices into experiments and an implementation roadmap.
Reflect
If your teams gained capacity, where would you put it to create more value? What would have to change in the way the function operates?
Method
Follow the outcome across boundaries. Changing a workflow can mean changing a role, decision, measure or working agreement.
Example
“Every team should be faster” becomes “Where does work wait between teams, and what improves the whole outcome?”
