Strategic Session Follow-up

Strategic

Consolidate the Learning

At the next strategy discussion, compare a plausible success story, a failure story and a different route to customer value. Choose an assumption to test.

Method

Step

What to do

State your current view

Name the choice, customer outcome and reasons you believe the strategy can work.

Look back from different futures

Explore plausible success and failure, then a future where a different route wins. Ask what went right, what went wrong and which decisions mattered.

Make a lateral connection

Borrow a useful idea from another industry. Explain why it might transfer and where the analogy fails.

Turn imagination into a learning decision

Separate scenarios from evidence. Choose an assumption to test, an option to keep open and a signal that would change the strategy.

Prompt to Try

Imagine it is three years from now. Our strategy has succeeded: what went right? Now imagine it failed: what went wrong? Create a third future where customer value shifted and a different strategy won. Borrow one business-model idea from another sector and explain where the analogy breaks. These are scenarios, not forecasts. Which assumptions, early signals and decisions should we examine today?

Review

Compare your own scenarios before bringing in AI’s challenge. Which new possibility changed the discussion? Check the evidence behind it and record what would change the strategic choice.

Carry Forward

Revisit the Strategic Reset Brief against real customer or market evidence. Keep, change or stop an assumption-led bet, and record the reasoning. Treat future stories as prompts for investigation.
